About Us
Camp Liam is a registered Canadian charity dedicated to advancing education through dance, while deepening public knowledge and appreciation of Jewish-Israeli culture and traditions. We do this by creating meaningful opportunities for learning, community, and cultural connection through movement, music, and shared experiences.
Our core program is the Camp Liam Festival, a celebration of Israeli and Jewish dance, music, and culture held in Niagara Falls, Canada. Each year, adult participants come from across Canada and around the world to spend 3.5 unforgettable days immersed in dance and community. The Festival offers a structured educational experience through workshops and sessions led by visiting Israeli choreographers and dance leaders—giving participants the opportunity to expand their skills, deepen their understanding, and grow as dancers in an inspiring, supportive environment.
With visiting Israeli musicians and live music woven into the experience, Camp Liam becomes more than a dance weekend—it becomes a true cultural celebration. Alongside the dancing, we share traditions and build lasting connections through meaningful communal moments, including coming together for Shabbat and Havdalah services and dinner.
Guided by our charitable purpose, Camp Liam’s mission is:
To advance education by providing structured learning activities such as courses, instructional seminars, training and workshops about dance, and by providing opportunities for students to publicly exhibit, present, or perform their works, or develop their crafts or skills in conjunction with these learning activities.
To advance education by increasing the public's knowledge and appreciation of the Jewish-Israeli culture and traditions through dance classes, workshops, presentations and performances.
To undertake activities ancillary and incidental to the attainment of the above charitable purposes.
At its heart, The Liam Festival is about education, culture, joy, and belonging—bringing people together through dance and creating a space where community and tradition can be experienced, celebrated, and shared.
